Adam Schlesinger
Chief Operating OfficerA 13-year veteran of the real estate industry, Mr. Schlesinger brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the position of CEO. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Schlesinger assisted with the acquisition of portfolios of apartment communities for Ceebraid-Signal Corporation. Under his direction, more than 25,000 residential units were redeveloped into luxury communities in Florida, Georgia, New York and Connecticut. In 2001, the company purchased The Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach to convert into condominiums. When the market soured, Mr. Schlesinger and his brother Bobby founded The Obadon Hotel Group, converting The Brazilian Court Hotel into one of four highly successful properties the company now owns and manages. As CEO of The Obadon Group, Mr. Schlesinger is responsible for the direction and philosophy of the company, overseeing all aspects of the business, including design, human resources, customer relations and development.
Jay Litt
Executive Vice PresidentThroughout his distinguished career, Mr. Litt has directed a significant number of transactions in the hotel section, including major acquisitions of multiple hospitality assets and companies with food and beverage chains and operations. Prior to directing operations and development for The Obadon Group, Mr. Litt served in various management positions with Wyndham International, including Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Procurement Officer for the Resorts Group. He also managed landmark properties for ITT Sheraton, including the St. Regis Hotel and Park Avenue Sheraton in New York City. Mr. Litt graduated from Parsons College with a B.A. in Sociology and from Florida International University with a B.S. in Hospitality Management. He serves on the board of Florida International University’s School of Hospitality and the Rancho La Puerta Spa.
Bruce Siegel
Director of OperationsPrior to joining Obadon Hotels Mr. Siegel had his own hospitality consulting firm specializing in all aspects within the hotel industry. He has been a General Manager with Intercontinental Hotel Group (Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Hotel & Resort properties), Wyndham International, Sheraton, Radisson and Ramada as well as other distinguished boutique style hotels. He started his career in Food and Beverage at the Helmsley Palace in New York City. Mr. Siegel has been involved in various multimillion-dollar renovations, openings and conversions. Mr. Siegel is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts and a minor in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
Mark Keller
ControllerMr. Keller is responsible for the management and supervision of all financial operations and reporting for all Obadon Hotel properties. Prior to this position he was the controller of the Brazilian Court and Ocean Club. Before beginning his career in the hospitality industry, Mr. Keller graduated from College St. Ferdinand in Paris, France with degrees in French, Math, and History. He then went on to study Accounting Principles at New York University and Leadership Development at Cornell University, before joining the team at Le Parker Meridien in New York City. In 2000, Mr. Keller was awarded the "Big Apple Star" for his excellence and achievement as a member of the hospitality industry in New York City.
Marilia Karlsson
Regional Director of Tour and Travel SalesA valued member of the Obadon team, Ms. Karlsson has been with The Obadon Hotel Group and its affiliates for six years. Prior to her current position, she was project development manager for The Brazilian Court Hotel and The Omphoy Ocean Resort, also excelling as a productivity manager in the sales industry. Ms. Karlsson holds a B.A. in Marketing from Mississippi State University.
Daniel Ruda
Regional Director of Property ManagementBoasting 35 years of multi-family management construction expertise, Mr. Ruda managed 5,000 units of multi-family housing and the redevelopment of more than 4,000 units. Currently, Mr. Ruda oversees the redevelopment and property management of 23 properties throughout the Southeast region. With a B.A. in Literary Science, Mr. Ruda graduated from Long Island University and possesses professional licenses as a Certified Apartment Manager, Registered Apartment Manager and Certified Property Manager.
Bobby Schlesinger
PresidentAfter graduating the top of his class from New York University with a B.S. in Lodging Development, Mr. Schlesinger trained in finance at Deutsche Bank Mortgage Capital on Wall Street. Seeking more challenge, he left the organization to join his brother Adam in the family-owned business, Ceebraid-Signal. There, he assisted with the acquisition of The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach and formed The Obadon Group with his brother to manage it as well as the Mayfair Hotel & Spa, The Omphoy Ocean Resort and The Traymore Hotel. As president of The Obadon Group, Mr. Schlesinger is responsible for supervising daily operations and management of the company’s existing hospitality portfolio as well as underwriting and securing financing for new hotel acquisitions. He is well respected in the hospitality industry, having served most recently as a subject matter expert on the “Hospitality Trends for Generation X and Beyond” panel at New York University’s Hospitality Investment Conference.
Eric Ewoldt
Executive Vice PresidentDuring his 12+ year career with ITT Sheraton, Mr. Ewoldt held senior positions with hotel properties in Washington D.C., Boston, Dallas and New York City. He has also served as General Manager with Stouffer Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, the New York Vista Hotel and in Executive Vice President roles with Doral Hotels & Resorts and Ian Schrager Hotels. Mr. Ewoldt has also managed international hotel portfolios for Colony Capital and served on the company’s Acquisition and Diligence Team, working with luxury hotel properties in Jamaica, Florida, Colorado, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. Mr. Ewoldt brings vast experience to his Operations role with The Obadon Group, including domestic and international hotel operations, union contract negotiations, acquisitions, pre-openings and marketing.
Doug McLain
Director of SalesDoug McLain boasts more than 25 years of experience in the corporate, franchise and international hotel industry. After graduating the Hotel and Restaurant Management program at Fairleigh Dickinson University's with a bachelors of science, McLain began his career at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City before spending the next eight years with Interstate Hotels.
McLain moved on to hold various positions at Wyndham International, including regional director of business development for more then 20 hotels and resorts in Florida and the Caribbean; director of sales and marketing for the Wyndham Bonaventure Resort & Spa; director of group sales at the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa; national sales representative for the Midwest region, Wyndham El Conquistador Resort & Country Club & Las Casitas Village; and director of sales and marketing at the Wyndham El San Juan Hotel and Casino. Most recently, McLain was the corporate director of sales and marketing at Core Hospitality, LLC.
Paula Hubble
Revenue ManagementPrior to joining The Obadon Hotel Group in 2005 as the Regional Revenue Manager, Ms. Hubble spent 14 years with The Hilton Palm Beach. At the Hilton she held management positions including Reservation Manager and Revenue Manager before becoming Revenue Manager for the Doubletree in Palm Beach Gardens. Throughout her acclaimed career, Ms. Hubble has received many awards that exude her commitment to excellence including employee of the month multiple times as well as employee and manager of the year.
John Yazbeck
Director of National SalesAn 18 year hospitality veteran, Mr. Yazbeck previously served as the senior director of national sales for Kimpton Hotels, leading the brand’s growth. Throughout his career, he also served at Wyndham International, claiming two titles as national director of the year, as well as various hotels within the Intercontinental Hotel family. Mr. Yazbeck is a graduate from Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
Pari Hirsch
Northeast Regional Director of SalesAs a veteran in the fashion industry, Ms. Hirsch brings more that 20 years of marketing and public relations experience to The Omphoy Ocean Resort. Prior to joining The Obadon Group, Ms. Hirsch served as director of sales and marketing for Highgrove where she assisted Robert A.M. Stern in designing condominium residences in Stamford, Conn. Ms. Hirsch has also devoted much of her time as chair and volunteer to many charities including Multiple Sclerosis, Bruce Museum of Greenwich, Michael Bolton Charities, Lucile Packard Children Hospital for Down Syndrome, and Greenwich and Stamford Hospitals. Ms. Hirsch holds an M.B.A. in Marketing and Management from Saint Joseph University.
